Process
3PT has developed a methodology that provides four
distinct steps in a software development project. The process
provides appropriate controls and measures without stopping the
evolution of requirements, nor killing off creativity or
innovation in the solution.
Stages of Development
Inception - This phase captures the essence of the project by
producing a scope document that is agreed to by all parties.
Elaboration - This phase builds upon the scope document from the
previous phase and includes the start of design activities such
as database schemas and screen mock-ups.
Construction - This is the ‘code-cutting’ phase where the
solution is constructed. Depending on the size of the project,
there may be a series of prototypes created to ensure the
customer and development team are in harmony.
Deployment - This final phase includes acceptance testing by the
customer. Data conversion and deployment activities including
post implementation review close out the methodology.
